Shaft seals
Description
Shaft seals are contact sealing elements designed to seal rotating shafts and other machine components. The function of the shaft seals is to provide a tight separation between two environments with a small pressure gradient. Standardised according to PN 02 9403 or DIN3760. Generally reinforced with a metal ring, rubber parts and a tension spring. In some cases, the oil seal is also used without the metal reinforcing ring and spring. This is the CD (AO) version, also referred to as WAO, VIAO, or the „SEVANIT“ oil seal in the „P“ or „HP“ version. Shaft seals provide double tightness – static tightness at the seating point and dynamic tightness at the level of contact between the sealing part and the shaft.
