Sealing O-rings

Description

O-rings are used to seal both moving (e.g. pistons, piston rods) and non-moving (e.g. bolts, flanges, hinges) parts of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and machinery. Their main function is to prevent unwanted penetration or leakage of liquid or gas. The sealing ability is achieved by compressing the annular profile of the ring in the respective groove and is dependent on the characteristics of the sealing ring itself and the groove space.
